AZZOPARDI. On November 4, MATHILDE, aged 64, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Vincent, her children Jerome and his wife Josette, Nicolette and her partner Mitar, Mark and Paula, her grandson Stevo, her brother Mario, other relatives and friends.The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for the Carmelite parish church, Balluta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

BORG. On November 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, AGNES of Rabat and residing at Birkirkara, aged 85, widow of John ex-RAMC, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Kim, Joseph, Mary and her husband James Hamilton, Eileen and her husband Charles Falzon, her grandchildren John Hamilton and his wife Mary, Jeannette and her husband Philip Cascun, Lorraine and her husband Vince Borg, Louise and her husband Josef Sammut, Joanne and her husband Anton Vidal, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.30 p.m. for the St Mary of Jesus church (Ta' Ġieżu) Rabat where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m. followed by interment in the St Margaret Cemetery, Rabat. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Diabetes Seminar

A seminar called Living With Diabetes will be held on November 14, World Diabetes Day, at the Grand Hotel Excelsior, Floriana, at 9 a.m. The event will include personal testimonies from people living with diabetes as well as talks by a dietician and a diabetologist. Attendance is ideally suited for persons living with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, on insulin treatment and aged under 50.

There will also be a free blood glucose monitoring service on November 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at City Gate, Valletta.

London Chamber Exams

Candidates sitting for London Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Series 2 Examinations in 2010 can submit their application between November 30 and December 11, from 8 a.m. to noon and 1.30 to 4.30 p.m.

The applications will be received at the Examinations Department, Great Siege Road, Floriana, and the Examinations Centre, Fortunato Mizzi Street, Victoria.

Candidates can also apply online at www.exams.gov.mt. Online registration opens on November 30 and closes on December 14 at 4 p.m.
