Welcome
Since the club was set up on the 19th of April 2009 the mission was to provide creative fellowship, a resource for modeling innovations and an outlet for modelers in Gozo to display their imaginative expression.
SSM Gozo (Society for Scale Modelers - Gozo) is a club dedicated to the enjoyment of scale model building. The original SSM club was launched in Malta in the 1980’s as the Plastic Modelers Society, and is part of IPMS, i.e. International Plastic Modelers Society. There are now two branches of IPMS on the Maltese islands.

The aim of SSM Gozo is to cultivate interest in the hobby of modeling in plastics, particularly through the use of commercially manufactured plastic model kits, and to provide information, and other assistance to members to continually raise the standards and techniques of their work.

The first exhibition that the local club is going to hold is on the 5th & 6th of December 2009, at the Victoria Scout Group Head Quarters in Santa Domenica Street Victoria Gozo. We hope to introduce this hobby to more youngsters and adults alike.
