I am very happy for you that you quit heroin. You should be an example to everyone. I also agree with you that addiction is an illness that you keep feeling throughout your life. In fact that is the only reason why I do not want to try heavy drugs. I know I will like it, and I know I would abuse of it, so that makes me afraid to try anything in the 1st place .....

But on another note, I wish you success in what you already achieved :) Keep it up Justin.

Maybe instead of just pointing our fingers to drug squads or addicts, we could try and increase awareness and empathy.

Any addiction may become life threatening, some more than others. But although help may be available, it's either hard to find or hard to seek it, and if sought, still hard to follow. If I had to have certain drug problems, I would feel more ashamed due to some judgemental comments presented here already... and this is media

i didnt say they solve problems , they dont ,infact they increase them. but we cannot say "dak haqqu" or "ghax kiesah" cause more than 3/4 of heroin users take drugs because they dont know an other way to cope with situations.
i for a person who is clean and did my rehab about 5 years ago , and is still on going because addiction stays for all of your life and you have to fight it all your life, ( not to drugs but addiction is a form of illness) can say how difficult it is, to learn and cope with situations that arise , without drug use.

Upon reading your comments I understand that you have a different opinion from mine !! There's nothing good about young people dying with overdose ... of course not, but maybe as you stated, I might have had a better life that this guy, however that still does not mean that drugs fix problems !!!! At least that's my way of thinking.

Life is full of challenges and obstacles, and we cannot let ourselves down !! I did have problems in the past like most people did, but I always believed that you can't fight fire with fire !!! You can't take drugs to forget your problems ..... Drugs themselves are a great problem .......

Regarding my (future) children taking drugs, I know this is possible, and it's worrying too, however I just hope they don't abuse with drugs ...... just like I never did !!!!

@Alison Grech...please be reminded if you did not know that "Drug Pushers" dont approach ordinary citizens on the streets but the drug addict seeks them out as they know who they are ...a "Pusher" usually gets u hooked on the so called "Good Stuff" then gets the "to be addict" hooked on that certain choice of drug and then he the ADDICT seeks the Pusher for more ....yes there is other ways to push drugs but usually its pretty much underground as they dont want to get caught ...there are runners and that sort of thing....

Drug pushers? Oh please. What a myth. So, am I to believe that in every dark corner of Paceville there's someone waiting to jump out at me and offer me drugs? Don't make me laugh. This is one buzzword that needs to die. I've been frequenting Paceville for over 10 years, and while I have often been asked if I have any drugs to sell, I never been offered anything, or been asked to buy anything.
